It’s no secret that the city of Austin continues to grow year after year, in part thanks to the great selection of activities to do year-round. Enjoy Old School Rap In Round Rock
Are you a fan of classic hip-hop artists? Did you enjoy the Super Bowl halftime show this year? Then you may be interested in making the short drive to the Round Rock Amphitheater to see bonafide rap legends on stage on April 8th. Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Too $Hort, and E-40 will all be performing the hits from back in the day.
Tickets are available on most major ticket platforms, and all ages can attend. Minors will be charged an additional $5 at the door. If you don’t have any plans for this April Friday evening, you should definitely check it out!
Austin Reggae Festival
If you are in the mood for even more music, then Austin has you covered there too! The springtime in Austin also features the Austin Reggae Festival, which is always a great time! Later in the month, you can enjoy a festival full of the finest reggae sounds at the Auditorium Shores at Town Lake Metropolitan Park. The tickets are on sale right now and feature groups like The Expendables, Kabaka Pyramid, Lion Heights, Julian Marley, and much, much more! The festival is a 3-day affair, starting on Friday, April 22nd and ending on the 24th.
Each night, the music will end at 10 p.m., after which you can come home and rest before coming back for more exhilarating music! The Austin Reggae Festival also works very closely with the Central Texas Food Bank. If you have some spare cash while jamming out, consider donating!
Go To COTA For MotoGP
Looking for a more fast-paced event to attend? Well you’re in luck because some of the world’s fastest bikes will be zipping around the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in April! This will be the 4th Grand Prix of the season and feature some of the most skilled motorcyclists on the planet. Being a major, internationally renowned track, COTA will no doubt be a fantastic place to see motorcycles lean inches from the ground around bend after bend.
MotoGP will be in Austin from April 8th to the 10th, making this a three-day event that you won’t want to miss! You can purchase tickets on most major ticket-selling platforms or on the COTA website!

Last on our list of springtime activities in Austin is the Austin International Poetry Festival!
